RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) baseball team announced on Monday that it will host open tryouts for current full time UTRGV students on October 6 at 5 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
 
Those interested must contact UTRGV volunteer assistant Ryan Jackson over the phone at 956-607-0088, via email at ryan.jackson01@utrgv.edu, or in in-person at UTRGV Baseball Stadium. Interested participants will be able to pick up physical and compliance forms as well as the tryout packet from Jackson. Participants must show proof of insurance and verify full-time enrollment at UTRGV.
 
The deadline to complete registration is September 30 at 5 p.m.
 
All participants must bring baseball gear. Water will be provided.
