ABILENE – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team is set to battle the Abilene Christian (ACU) Wildcats in a Western Athletic Conference (WAC) match Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Moody Coliseum.
UTRGV (12-9, 6-2 WAC) is seeking its sixth consecutive win over the Wildcats (10-10, 5-3 WAC) to gain some separation in the conference standings. The Vaqueros currently sit in third, one match behind Grand Canyon and two behind unbeaten Stephen F. Austin, while the Wildcats are in fourth heading into the final weekend of the first round of WAC play.
