OREM, Utah – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team, the #3 seed in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament, will face the #6 Tarleton State Texans at 2 p.m. Thursday in the quarterfinals round at Lockhart Arena.
UTRGV (18-11, 12-4 WAC) and Tarleton State (16-14, 7-9 WAC) are facing off for the third time this year in the first-round match. Awaiting the victor will be the winner of #2 Grand Canyon and #7 California Baptist, which will be the first match of the day. Regular season champion Stephen F. Austin earned the #1 seed and will play #8 Abilene Christian in the third match, followed by #4 UT Arlington vs. #5 Utah Valley, the host school, in the nightcap.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch domestically on ESPN+ or internationally on WAC International.
