RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team (0-8) returns home to host the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders (4-4) as part of the South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union, on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

The first 400 fans in attendance will receive a #BeatCorpus t-shirt.

Thursday is also Grads and Family Night where UTRGV graduates and their family members get free admission to the game where they can take advantage of a special photo backdrop. Fans can also get free admission when they bring a new unwrapped toy to support Temple Emanuel's Be the Light Toy Drive. The gift must be appropriate for kids ages 12 and under. Gifts will be benefiting the McAllen Police Department's Blue Santa program.

V Club donors at the MVP level or above can take advantage of priority parking.

The party starts in Schlotzsky's Vaquero Village at 5 p.m.
