RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that sophomore Charlotte O'Keefe of the women's basketball team, is the Killers Golf UTRGV Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
O'Keefe scored 11 points with a career-high three three-pointers and a season-high three blocks while also notching two steals against No. 5 Texas last week in front of 6,591 fans at Bert Ogden Arena. 
 
O'Keefe, who has played and started in all 10 games for the Vaqueros, now has five games in double-figure scoring, including two straight. 
 
On the season, O'Keefe is averaging 8.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game and is the only player on the team with double-digit blocks (13).
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action on Dec. 30 when they visit Sam Houston at 2 p.m.
