RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Wednesday 24 promotional dates on the 2023 home baseball schedule. 
 
Promotions start on Opening Day as fans who attend the 6:30 p.m. game against Houston Christian Feb. 17 will receive Jody Ramsey memorial pins while supplies last. Ramsey's No. 6 will be officially retired during a pregame ceremony. 
 
There are several recurring promotions, including the Cane's Challenge, $2 Tuesdays and the Friends & Family Four Packs. The Cane's Challenge rewards fans when the Vaqueros win on Friday nights with a buy one, get one free coupon for a box combo at Raising Cane's. Six home games are $2 Tuesdays, meaning general admission tickets are $2 and select concession items will be available for $2 or less. There are three games offering fans the Friends & Family Four Packs, which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four drinks all for just $25. 
 
When the Vaqueros host Central Michigan for a four-game series Feb. 24-26, fans can take advantage of a buy one, get one free promotion. Fans can choose to attend on two of the three games days, including a Feb. 24 single-admission doubleheader at 3 p.m., Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. and Feb. 26 at 11 a.m., for the cost of one.
