ARLINGTON – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team is ready to begin the next phase of the season as they open Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play Thursday. 
 
The Vaqueros are the defending regular season WAC champions after going 13-1 in the conference season in 2022. UTRGV (6-7) will look to get back in the win column in the conference opener Thursday at 6 p.m. against the UT Arlington Mavericks (11-2) at College Park Center. 
 
Fans can watch the match domestically on ESPN+ or internationally on WAC International.
