RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team is kicking off a streak of four consecutive road matches with a South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union, rematch.
The Vaqueros (12-8, 8-2 Southland Conference) are riding a season-long six-match winning streak into Thursday's 6:30 p.m. match at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (13-8, 8-2 SLC) at the Dugan Wellness Center. These teams are tied atop the Gold Division standings and are third in the overall conference standings. The Islanders won the first round of the South Texas Showdown, 3-2, in Edinburg.
