HAMMOND, La. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team opens its first Southland Conference Volleyball Championship Friday with a 4 p.m. quarterfinals match against the #5 Incarnate Word Cardinals. 

#4 UTRGV (16-10, 12-4 SLC) will play the Cardinals (16-10, 9-7 SLC) for the third time this season. The Vaqueos swept both of the previous matchups and have won seven in a row against the Cardinals. The match can be watched on ESPN+.
