HAMMOND, La. – There will be a lot on the line Saturday as The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team battles the Southeastern (SLU) Lions in a marquee Southland Conference (SLC) match at 12 p.m. at University Center.
The Vaqueros (14-9, 10-3 SLC) currently sit atop the Gold Division standings, holding the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament. Southeastern (21-4, 13-0 SLC) is atop the Black Division standings, and with an unblemished conference record, looks poised to take the regular season title and the No. 1 seed for the championship. UTRGV's tournament seeding could be impacted as it looks to snap SLU's 21-match winning streak in the last road match of the regular season.
