SAN ANTONIO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team is back on the road for a pair of games this weekend, starting with a Saturday contest at UTSA.
UTRGV (1-0, 0-0 Southland) will play the Roadrunners (0-1, 0-0 AAC) at 2 p.m. at the Convocation Center. The game can be watched on ESPN+. This will be the first time these teams face off in San Antonio since Nov. 2020 in a game won by UTRGV. The Vaqueros are riding some momentum after opening the season Tuesday with a 70-68 win at Houston, earning the program's first win over a power conference opponent since 2003. UTSA lost its season opener to Texas A&M on the road.
