RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the promotional schedule for the 2024 Vaqueros volleyball season on Friday along with information for the UTRGV Tournament package.
The fun begins with the home opener on Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. as UTRGV hosts Texas Tech to kick off the UTRGV Tournament. Fans are encouraged to wear orange as part of the Orange Out/Pack the House match sponsored by McAllen International Airport.
The UTRGV Tournament offers fans the chance to watch six competitive matches from Sept. 12-14. Tournament packages will be $25 for all three days or $15 for an all-day pass for Sept. 13. Four matches will be played Sept. 13 starting at 10 a.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse and capped by UTRGV's match against San Francisco at 6:30 p.m. Other teams participating are Houston Christian and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Tournament packages will go on sale later this month.
Volleyball matches include the recurring Cane's Challenge which rewards fans when the Vaqueros win on Thursdays with a buy one, get one free coupon for a box combo at Raising Cane's.

Campers Day
- Free admission for all attendees of a 2024 UTRGV Volleyball summer camp. Wear your camp shirt and be recognized on the court.

South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union
- The first 500 fans will receive a free #Beat Corpus t-shirt.

Dads and Daughters Night
- Father/Daughter Twinning Contest – come dressed alike for a chance to win a prize.
- Free photobooth for fans to enjoy.
