GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team is ready to face some new competition this weekend as it begins the 2024 season at the Furman Invitational. 

The Vaqueros (0-0) will play two matches Friday, first against Charlotte at 9 a.m. and then against the hosting Furman Paladins (0-0) at 5:30 p.m. in a match fans can enjoy on ESPN+. UTRGV closes the tournament with a 9 a.m. match Saturday against Charleston Southern. This weekend's matches will be the first for UTRGV against all three opponents.
