EL PASO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team is back on the road to play a pair of matches in the UTEP Southwest Showdown at Memorial Gym. 

The Vaqueros (4-4) will face the hosting UTEP Miners (7-2) at 6:30 p.m. (CT) Friday in a match that can be watched domestically on ESPN+. Saturday at 11 a.m. the Vaqueros will battle the Texas State Bobcats (4-4). This is the last tournament of the non-conference season for UTRGV before Southland Conference (SLC) play begins with a match against Stephen F. Austin at the UTRGV Fieldhouse at 2 p.m. on Sept. 28.
