HOUSTON – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team is looking to bounce back into the win column with a Southland Conference (SLC) contest Saturday at 1 p.m. against the Houston Christian (HCU) Huskies at Sharp Gym.
The Vaqueros (9-9, 4-3 SLC) hold an impressive 17-1 all-time record against the Huskies (4-12, 1-6 SLC) and are looking to win their 15th consecutive game in the head-to-head series. UTRGV is tied for fourth in the conference standings heading into Saturday's contest while the Huskies have lost seven in a row. The Vaqueros are led by junior forward
Charlotte O'Keefe, who is averaging a double-double and leads the Southland in four stat categories while being ranked fourth in the nation in total rebounds and sixth in rebounds per game.
Fans unable to attend the game can watch domestically via
ESPN+.
