RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team is aiming to extend its winning streak to six matches Saturday as it takes on the New Orleans (UNO) Privateers at 12 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
The Vaqueros (11-7, 6-1 Southland Conference) head into the match after a gritty 3-2 win over Southeastern on Thursday, which moved them solely into second in the conference standings. New Orleans (7-13, 2-5 SLC) is looking to get back into the win column after falling, 3-0, at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Head-to-Head History
• UTRGV is 3-17 all-time against the Privateers in a series dating back to 1988, but all three wins have come in the last four meetings.
• The Vaqueros beat the Privateers 3-0 when these teams met last season in New Orleans. They have won two consecutive matches in the series with the last loss being back in 2014.
• Saturday's match will be the first for UNO in Edinburg since Oct. 1996.

Isabella Costantini tallied a season-high 61 assists with four aces and two kills while running the offense to a .321 hitting efficiency.
• New Orleans fell 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-20) at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday.
Alessandra Meoni and
Laura Piva led the offense with seven kills each while
Defne Eciroglu dished out 19 assists. Meoni also paced the defense with eight digs.
