NATCHITOCHES, La. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's tennis team finished their run in the singles and doubles semifinals at the Southland Conference (SLC) Fall Championships Friday at the Lady Demon Tennis Complex.
 
In doubles, juniors Paolo Bonaguro and Will Roberts fell in a tight 6-4, 6-4 match to the No. 1 seeded duo of Alejandro Hernandez and Emilio Vila from Incarnate Word (UIW).
 
In singles action, junior Santiago Serrano dropped a hard-fought match to the No. 1 seed Hernandez, 6-3, 6-3.
 
The Vaqueros will split up and compete at both the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge, hosted by SMU from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2, and the UIW Invitational, hosted by UIW from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
