Volleyball Playing for Southland Conference Title Saturday at East Texas A&M

COMMERCE, Texas – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team will be playing for a Southland Conference (SLC) championship Saturday when they face the East Texas A&M (ETAMU) Lions at 11 a.m. at The Field House.

UTRGV (19-7, 14-1) heads into the regular season finale on a 13-match winning streak. A win would guarantee at least a share of the conference title. UTRGV could claim the title outright and the #1 seed in the conference tournament if Stephen F. Austin loses to Lamar in a 12 p.m. match in Nacogdoches. The Vaqueros are chasing their first conference title since 2022, when they won the regular season championship in the Western Athletic Conference.
