BEAUMONT, Texas – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team opens Southland Conference (SLC) play Tuesday as they face off with the Lamar Cardinals at the Montagne Center in Beaumont, Texas. 

UTRGV (3-3) and Lamar (2-4) will play at 6:30 p.m. in the conference opener for both squads. The Vaqueros snapped Lamar's 17-game home winning streak when these teams last battled in Beaumont.
