Baseball to Play at Globe Life Field Tuesday Against No. 20 Dallas Baptist

ARLINGTON – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros baseball team's game against No. 20 Dallas Baptist on Tuesday is being moved to Globe Life Field, the home of the Texas Rangers, and will now start at 11:30 a.m.

The game was previously scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at Dallas Baptist's on-campus stadium, but due to inclement weather in the forecast, the game will take place at Globe Life Field, which has a retractable roof and can be closed for the game. When the roof is closed, the inside temperature averages 72 degrees.

Fans can purchase tickets at the Southwest Box Office of Globe Life Field only beginning at 10:30 a.m. on game day. Individual tickets are $15 each while groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $12 each.

Free parking will be available in Lot R. The Southwest Entry will open to fans at 10:30 a.m.

For those unable to attend, Dallas Baptist is offering an audio-only broadcast via the Patriot Broadcasting Network with pregame coverage beginning at 11:15 a.m.

This is believed to be UTRGV's first-ever game in a Major League Baseball stadium. Globe Life Field is the newest MLB stadium, having hosted its first game of July 24, 2020. Globe Life Field has already hosted two World Series, doing so in 2020 and 2023.
