RIO GRANDE VALLEY – After one month and seven consecutive matches on the road, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's tennis team is back at the Orville Cox Tennis Center Thursday to face the UT Permian Basin (UTPB) Falcons at 2 p.m. 
 
This will be the first match between the Vaqueros (3-13, 0-0 Southland Conference) and Falcons (4-3, 0-0 Lone Star Conference). The men's teams will play after the women's teams as part of a doubleheader. 
 
UTRGV recently returned from a California road trip that saw the Vaqueros go 1-3. They created some momentum at the end of the trip by earning a solid 5-2 win at UC Riverside. They picked up the doubles point and got strong performances from the back end of the lineup, getting wins on the third through sixth courts. 
 
The Falcons come into this one off a loss to Our Lady of the Lake.
