RIO GRANDE VALLEY – No. 2 The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros baseball team (35-17) looks to play two games in Southland Conference Tournament Bracket Play, presented by Payne Auto Group, on Saturday, starting with a 1 p.m. elimination game against No. 7 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (21-30) at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
The winner of that game faces the No. 6 Houston Christian University Huskies (29-23) on Saturday at 6 p.m.
UTRGV needs to win both games to force a decisive bracket final on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Gates open at 12 p.m.
Current students of participating institutions, including those graduating this weekend, receive free general admission with their student ID.
