RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's basketball team (5-8, 1-3 SLC) is set for the South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union, when they host the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
The game will be the second game of the doubleheader with the women's team and the first 400 fans in attendance will receive a #BeatCorpus t-shirt prior to both the men's and women's games.
UTRGV and Corpus Christi are tied in the showdown standings with seven points each.
Fans can purchase tickets online at
UTRGVTickets.com. Current UTRGV students receive free general admission with their student ID but will need to claim a ticket at
GoUTRGV.com/StudentTickets. Fans can learn more about game day, including parking information, maps, and the clear bag policy, by visiting
