RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday the promotions that will run during 20 baseball home games during the 2026 season.
There are several promotions that take place during games:
DQ Blast
If a Vaquero hits a home run, all fans in attendance receive coupons for a free blizzard from Dairy Queen.
Raising Cane's Lucky Section
At everyone Saturday home game, two random rows in two different sections will compete to win buy one, get one free box combo vouchers for their entire section.
Wing Barn Fan of the Game
The most spirited fan at each game receives a $10 gift card to Wing Barn.

•Dress up as your favorite Pokémon or Pokémon trainer and take part in the costume contest.

•UTRGV Athletics is donating 200 tickets to the Veteran Tickets Foundation, including 100 for Vet Tix and 100 for 1st Tix, that can be claimed by veterans, serving and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, nurses and 911 dispatchers that can be claimed for free during the week leading up to this game.

•Some fans will be chosen to compete in the finish the lyrics contest for Taylor Swift songs between innings.
•Some fans will be invited onto the field between innings to show off their best Fate of Ophelia dance.
•UTRGV Athletics is honoring members of the Varsity Club.

•New Breed Wrestling will stage a pregame Lucha Libre wrestling match on the concourse. Fans will be able to take photos with the wrestlers and in the ring throughout the game.

•The outgoing Student Government Association Executive Board will throw out ceremonial first pitches to the incoming board to celebrate the transfer of responsibility.
