RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team is ready for a rematch with the Houston Christian University (HCU) Huskies in a Southland Conference (SLC) game Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
The Vaqueros (11-9, 8-3 SLC) and Huskies (5-13, 3-8 SLC) will play each other for the second time in five days. UTRGV won the first contest in the home-and-home conference series, 65-53, in Houston behind big games from senior forward
Charlotte O'Keefe and junior guard
Jalayah Ingram. O'Keefe had 22 rebounds with 19 points and was 7-for-7 from the field while Ingram added 21 points with 13 rebounds and five assists. The Vaqueros have never lost to HCU at home.
