Chasse Conque said. "In February, we will have the opportunity to showcase the Valley to a national audience. This exposure will help promote our vibrant and growing region while bringing additional national recognition to our university and men's basketball program. I am confident we will showcase a great atmosphere. The UTRGV Fieldhouse will be the place to be on February 22."
This is the first nationally televised game from the UTRGV Fieldhouse since Jan. 14, 2017, when UTRGV men's basketball hosted Grand Canyon and the game aired on American Sports Network. A string of men's basketball games were carried by American Sports Network and picked up by stations across the country between 2015 and 2017.
In 2024, UTRGV men's basketball hosted a Western Athletic Conference game against UT Arlington which was a linear television broadcast carried on regional sports network affiliates. Longhorn Network nationally televised a men's basketball doubleheader from Bert Ogden Arena in 2022 for subscribers as UTRGV hosted Western Illinois and Texas played Northern Arizona.
