RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros baseball team opens the 2026 season with the Al Ogletree Classic against the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium as part of #RallyTheValley Week, presented by McAllen International Airport.

Friday, Feb. 13, 6:30 p.m. vs. Kansas
Postgame Fireworks Show, presented by Killer V's • #RallyTheValley Week, presented by McAllen International Airport
•The first 500 fans in attendance will receive rally towels, courtesy of McAllen International Airport
•Fork to Fit Kitchen will be passing out coupons while supplies last.

Saturday, Feb. 14, 6:30 p.m. vs. Kansas
Pack the Park • #RallyTheValley Week, presented by McAllen International Airport
•The top three most spirited fans will win a prize, courtesy of Vaquero Outfitters
•Whataburger will be passing out coupons while supplies last.
•There will be a Southern Roots flower bar and photo opportunity on the concourse.

Sunday, Feb. 15, 1 p.m. vs. Kansas
Family Fun Day • Winter Texan Day • Classic Rock Day • #RallyTheValley Week, presented by McAllen International Airport
•Get four general admission tickets, four drinks, and four hot dogs for $44.
•Fans ages 65+ can purchase general admission tickets for $6 each.
•Fans will receive all you can play wristbands, courtesy of Main Event.
•Enjoy classic rock music throughout the game.

All Games
Current UTRGV students receive free general admission with a digital ticket that can be acquired at GoUTRGV.com/StudentTickets and their student ID. New for this year – there is a dedicated student entrance up the third baseline accessible from the sidewalk next to Sugar Rd.

All fans need to follow the clear bag policy, details of which can be found, along with everything you need to know about game day such as stadium maps, at RallyTheValley.com.

Gates open one hour before first pitch.

DQ Blast
If a Vaquero hits a home run, all fans in attendance receive coupons for a free blizzard with the purchase of any menu item from Dairy Queen.
 
Raising Cane's Lucky Section
At everyone Saturday home game, two random rows in two different sections will compete to win buy one, get one free box combo vouchers for their entire section.
 
Wing Barn Fan of the Game
The most spirited fan at each game receives a $10 gift card to Wing Barn.
