THIBODAUX, La. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team is ready for a key Southland Conference (SLC) rematch with the Nicholls Colonels Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Stopher Gym.
The Vaqueros (13-9, 10-3 SLC) have won four in row heading into Thursday's tilt. When they faced the Colonels (10-10, 6-7 SLC) in December, they played without top scorers
Jalayah Ingram and
Charlotte O'Keefe. UTRGV defeated Nicholls last season when it traveled to Thibodaux and will look to continue its strong play on the road. The Vaqueros are 6-1 in conference road games, already hitting a program-record number of conference victories away from home.
