NEW ORLEANS – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's basketball team is aiming to extend its program-best road winning streak as it faces the New Orleans (UNO) Privateers Saturday at 1 p.m. in a Southland Conference (SLC) game at Lakefront Arena.
The Vaqueros (14-9, 11-3 SLC) have won seven consecutive SLC road games and are 8-3 on the road this season. The next road win will set a program record for most victories away from home. UNO (2-20, 2-12 SLC) has some momentum as well after defeating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Thursday, snapping a six game losing skid.
