2025 Outdoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Finished 14^th in the 100-meter dash and 19^th in the 200-meter dash in a PR time of 21.60 at SLC Outdoor Championships… Took second with the 4x100-meter relay at the Texas A&M Alumni Muster… Won the 100-meter dash in 10.59 and 4x100 in 39.93 (program record) at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight while also taking sixth in the 200… Won the 4x100 in 40.35, was fifth in the 100 in a season-best time of 10.44, took sixth with the 4x400-meter relay and was 10^th in the 200 at the Cactus Cup… Opened the season with a fifth-place finish in the 100 at the Charles Austin Classic… 

2025 Indoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Competed at three meets… Opened the season taking sixth with the 4x400-meter relay at the LSU Purple Tiger… 

2024 Outdoor Track & Field (Freshman): Took fifth with the 4x100-meter relay and competed in prelims of the 100-meter dash at WAC Outdoor Championships… Was first with the 4x100, fifth in the 200-meter dash in a personal-best time of 21.82 and sixth in the 100 at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight… Won the 4x100 and was third in the 100 at the Cactus Cup… Ran personal bests in the 100 (10.49) and 200 (21.53) at the 44 Farms Team Invitational… Competed in the 100 dash and 4x100 relay at Texas Relays… Was second with the 4x100 relay and eighth in the 100 dash at the Texas A&M Invite… Took second with the 4x400 relay, third with the 4x100 relay and was 10^th in the 100 dash at the season-opening Kirk Baptiste Spring Break Invitational. 

2024 Indoor Track & Field (Freshman): Earned bronze and All-WAC First Team honors in the 60-meter dash at his first WAC Indoor Championships, claiming a program record time of 6.74; finished 22^nd in prelims of the 200-meter dash … Was second in the 60-meter dash at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational, running 6.77, and eighth in the 200-meter dash, running a personal-best 21.85 … Made collegiate debut at Arkansas Invitational, finishing 12^th in prelims of the 60-meter dash and 14^th in the 200-meter dash. 

Prior to UTRGV (Weslaco East High School): Romo, one of the top student-athletes in the Rio Grande Valley in high school, is staying home to represent UTRGV. Romo notched personal records of 10.37 in the 100-meter dash, 21.28 in the 200-meter dash and 17-3.75 in long jump as a high school track star. He qualified for the UIL Class 5A State Track & Field meet in the 100 and 200 dash in 2023, placing seventh in both races. He earned first-place finishes in 14 of 16 of his 100 dash races as a senior and in 14 of 15 races in the 200 dash. Romo claimed the District 32-5A, Area 31-32 and Region IV-5A titles in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes in 2023, also winning gold at district and area in the 4x100-meter relay. He was first in the 100 and 200 dashes and 4x100 relay at the 2022 district meet, too, and qualified for regionals in the 100 and 4x100 that year. Romo was the 2022 Athlete of the Year and 2023 Most Outstanding Athlete for Weslaco East. Also played basketball.
