2025 Outdoor (Junior): Qualified for the NCAA West First Round in the 200-meter dash, took 23^rd in prelims to advance to the second round, where he was 24^th in 20.86… Earned All-Conference Second Team honors in the 100-meter dash, All-Conference Third Team honors in the 200-meter dash, and All-Conference Third Team honors with the 4x400-meter relay at SLC Outdoor Championships… Ran a PR 20.79 (program record) as he took third in the 200 at SLC Outdoor Championships and was second in the 100, fifth with the 4x100-meter relay, third with the 4x400… Won the 100 and the 4x100 at the Trinity Last Chance… Took second with the 4x100, fourth with the 4x400 and in the 200, and fifth in the 100 at the Texas A&M Alumni Muster… Won the 4x100 with a program-record time of 39.93 at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight and was first in the 200 in 21.10… Named the SLC Men's Track Athlete of the Week on April 16... Won the 100 in a PR and program record time of 10.17 at the Cactus Cup, was also first in the 200 in 20.98, first with the 4x100 in 40.35, and sixth with the 4x400… Ran the 100 and 200 at the Bobcat Invitational… 

2025 Indoor (Junior): Took seventh in the 60-meter dash at the Jarvis Scott Invite after running a program-record time of 6.68 in the prelims… Was sixth in the 60 and 10^th in the 200-meter dash at the Stan Scott Invite… Opened the season with a second-place finish in the 60 in 6.79 at the LSU Purple Tiger… 

2022-24 (Incarnate Word): His collegiate personal records from UIW are 6.66 seconds in the indoor 60 meters, 10.25 seconds in the outdoor 100 meters, and 20.86 seconds in the outdoor 200 meters. In the 2024 SLC Outdoor Championships, he placed 6th in the 200 meters, 4th with the 4x100 relay, and 7th with the 4x400 relay. At the 2024 SLC Indoor Championships, he finished 3rd with the 4x400 relay. In 2023, he was a NCAA West Preliminary Qualifier in the 100 meters, 200 meters, as well as the 4x100 relay. At the 2023 SLC Outdoor Championships, he placed 6th in both the 100 and 200 meters, and 3rd with the 4x100 relay. Burns finished 6th in the 60 meters, 5th in the 200 meters, and 6th with the 4x400 relay at the 2023 SLC Indoor Championships.

East View High School: Two-time qualifier for the UIL Class 5A State Championships in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash... Took bronze in the 200 at state in 2022.
