2022 Cross Country (Freshman): Placed 79th at the Western Athletic Conference Championships, setting a 6K PR in 23:39.6 ... Finished 246th at the Arturo Barrios Invitational (6K) on 10/15 ... Earned a Top-10 finish in her collegiate debut, placing 8th at the UIW Twilight (4K).
2018-2022 (High School): Cruz placed fourth at the Class 3A State Cross Country Meet as a senior and was a three-time Region IV-6A qualifier. She won an individual district cross country title at Vanguard Rembrandt Academy. In track & field, Cruz was the 2021 district champion in the 3,200-meter run, bronze medalist in the 1,600-meter run and finished fourth in the 800. She was a two-time regional qualifier in track & field with PSJA High. Cruz holds PRs of 2:30.27 in the 800-meter run, 5:29.73 in the 1,600 and 11:51.25 in the 3,200.
