2024-25 (Sophomore): Earned All-Conference First Team at No. 2 singles and Second Team at No. 3 doubles with Eduardo Menezes… Named SLC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week (3/25)… Totaled 20 wins in the spring, going 11-6 in doubles and 9-10 in singles… Was 8-8 at No. 2 singles with a 3-1 SLC record… Defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s Tom Berry, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-1… Beat Gur Libal of Sacramento State, 6-4, 6-4… Beat Matthew Armbruster of New Orleans twice, including a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win in the SLC Tournament… Defeated Lamar’s Haruki Omori-Cowie 4-6, 6-4, 6-2… Beat UIW’s Alejandro Hernandez, 6-4, 6-4… In doubles with Menezes: won four consecutive completed matches over teams from New Mexico State, Corpus Christi, SMU and Saint Mary’s… Beat #52 SMU’s Shimanov/Barton, 6-3, and had #16 Illinois’ Mroz/Debru and #17 Baylor’s Zamani/Chirita at 6-6 when matches went unfinished… With Menezes, won seven matches in a row to aid UTRGV’s eight-match winning streak… Won consecutive matches against New Orleans, Dillard and Nicholls 6-1… Defeated Lamar’s Louis Drapeau/Stefano Chappius 6-4 and UIW’s Arnau Miralles/Christian Cuellar 6-2…
2023-24 (Freshman): Spring Season: Singles – Was named to the All-WAC Singles Second Team after going 2-2 in WAC play with a pair of wins at No. 2… Finished the season with a 9-14 record, moving up to the No. 2 spot for the final four matches… Was 5-4 at No. 3… Defeated Omaha’s Mikel Garmendia 2-6, 7-6 (7:4), 1-0 (10:7)… Won three matches in a row with victories over PVAMU’s Diego Hatem, New Mexico State’s Gustavo Campos and Morgan State’s Makkijha Brown… Beat North Dakota’s Ethan Terry, 6-3, 6-3… Moved up to No. 2 and earned WAC wins over UT Arlington’s Dante Teramo, 7-6 (7:3), 6-1, and Abilene Christian’s Mihaly Deli, 6-3, 6-2... Doubles – Was 12-11 in spring and 3-1 in WAC play at No. 1 with Emilien Burnel… Went 10-5 with Burnel in the top flight… Defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s Matthieu Coignet/Antoine Vicaire, 6-4, at No. 3 with Agustin Salazar to help UTRGV earn first win over rival since 2010… Beat AMCC’s Avery Zavala/Etienne Marty, 7-5, at No. 1 with Burnel… Won six consecutive completed matches with Burnel, including a 7-6 (7:3) win over GCU’s Gerhard Sullwald/David Wekesa to open WAC play and a 6-1 win over Seattle U’s Filip Stipic/Jun Sasagawa… Defeated Abilene Christian’s Daniel Morozov/Cesar Barranquero, 7-6 (8:6), with Burnel… In the WAC Tournament quarterfinals, beat Seattle U’s Jun Sasagawa/Veselin Kiselkov, 6-4, with Burnel… Was named WAC Doubles Player of the Week with Emilien Burnel on March 12. Fall Season: Went 2-5 in singles and 3-3 in doubles ... Defeated TCU's Luke Swan, 7-5, 6-1, at the ITA Texas Regional... Won the Doubles B Draw at the Jake Frederick Memorial Islander Open with Agustin Salazar, going 3-0.
