One of Several newcomers counted on to improve the pitching staff... Has fastball, slider, and changeup... Could see action as both starter and reliever... Can also catch and play outfield. 

(1993-94 Texas-Brownsville): Two-year starter and letterman for coach Arnie Alvarez... Earned spot on state JUCO all-star team following sophomore season... Won team triple crown for hitting as a freshman, leading team in average, home runs and runs batted in... Current UTB career leader in wins and earned run average. 

Flour Bluff High School: Earned first-team All-District and second-team All-South Texas honors as a senior after leading the team to 21-9 record... Team posted winning record in three of four seasons and went 23-9 and reached state playoffs in 1990... Earned honorable mention All-District recognition as a sophomore.

Personal: Joe Allen Moore. Son of Janis Moore of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born November 21, 1973 at Corpus Christi. Majoring in pre-med with plans to pursue a career in health care professions following his graduation.
