Danny Feck, who had been a graduate assistant for current head coach Matt Figger at Austin Peay the previous two years, joined UTRGV as an athletic assistant for men's basketball in June 2021.
During Feck’s time at Austin Peay, he assisted with much of the travel-related responsibilities, including reconciling team travel receipts and planning and organizing team meals. The team went 35-25 (.583) during that time, including a 21-win season in 2019-20.
Feck came to Austin Peay from Marshall, where he was a manager for the men’s basketball team from 2015 until his graduation in 2019, ascending to the head managerial role as a senior.
Among his duties were supervising and directing five assistant managers, organizing team meals, alumni interaction, managing game and practice uniforms on the road, and offering drill assistance during practice.
Marshall won Conference USA in 2018 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Feck also has experience working basketball camps at Marshall and Virginia Tech.
Originally from Cincinnati, Feck graduated from Marshall in 2019 cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management. He completed his Master of Science in Leadership at Austin Peay in June 2021.
