Andrea Chilcote

Andrea Chilcote joined UTRGV as an assistant athletic trainer during the summer of 2015. She works primarily with men’s soccer and women’s basketball while assisting with other sports as necessary.
 
Chilcote spent the 2014-15 academic year as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Illinois-Chicago, where she worked primarily with the first-year women’s soccer program. She also assisted with all other sports, helping with practice and event coverage, injury treatment, creation of rehabilitation programs, and physician referrals.
 
Chilcote worked at Eastern Illinois as a graduate assistant during the previous two years, serving as the primary athletic trainer for women’s rugby and men’s and women’s swimming in 2013-14, and men’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis in 2012-13. While there, she completed a Masters of Science in Sports Administration.
 
During the summer in-between EIU and UIC, Chilcote served as the head athletic trainer at Ascend Performing Arts.
 
Chilcote interned with the Chicago Cubs Rehabilitation Center during the summer of 2012 while finishing her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Grand Valley State.
 
While in college, Chilcote worked as a student trainer with women’s lacrosse (spring 2012) and men’s and women’s cross country and track & field (fall 2010), in addition to Calvin College (spring 2011) and Forest Hills Central High School (fall 2011).
