Puthita Khuanrudee

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Director of Golf Houston Moore announced on June 16 the hiring of Puthita Khuanrudee, who spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Lindsey Wilson College, as associate head women’s golf coach.

Khuanrudee earned her second-straight Mid-South Conference Assistant Coach of the Year honor this past season by helping the men’s team to an NAIA National Championship and guiding both the men’s and women’s teams to Mid-South Conference Championships.

Additionally, Khuanrudee saw the men’s team win six other tournaments while the women’s team won five events. Both teams finished in the top 10 in the NAIA national rankings with the men’s team finishing ranked No. 4 and the women’s team No. 7.

Collegiately, Khuanrudee played five seasons (2018-23) at Youngstown State, where she became the second player in program history to earn all-league honors four times while also adding three Horizon Leauge All-Tournament honors.

Khuanrudee, who was the 2018-19 Horizon League Freshman of the Year, finished her career with four of the seven lowest single-season scoring averages in Youngstown State history and holds the program record for career scoring average with a 75.5. Khuanrudee finished her career with a program record 189 birdies en route to five career wins, becoming one of eight players in school history to win at least five events.

Khuanrudee earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Youngstown State in 2023 and completed her Master of Business Administration at Lindsey Wilson in 2025.
