2016-17, 2019 Outdoor Track & Field (Missouri Southern State): Finished runner-up in the shot put at the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships with a personal record throw of 16.38 meters … Also finished fourth in the discus after winning the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Championships in both events … Competed in the shot put seven times as a senior, winning six times … Competed in the discus nine times, picking up five wins, including a personal record throw of 55.54 meters at the Angelo State David Noble Relays … Advanced to the NCAA Championships in the discus during each of her three outdoor seasons, finishing eighth in 2016 and 2017 … Redshirted as a junior in 2018.
2017-19 Indoor Track & Field (Missouri Southern State): Competed exclusively in the discus in 2019, winning the Pittsburg State Invitational with a personal record throw of 15.88 meters … Went on to finish runner-up at the MIAA Championships and 10that the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships. … Redshirted as a freshman in 2016.
2015-18 Basketball (Missouri Southern State): Averaged 19.1 points on 46.7 percent shooting from the field and 82.2 percent shooting from the line to go with 8.4 rebounds en route to All-MIAA Second Team honors as a junior in 2017-18 … Also earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention as a sophomore by averaging 12.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game … Redshirted as a senior in 2018-19.
2011-15 (Webb City High School): Three-sport star, competing in track & field, basketball and softball … Set school records in the discus with a throw of 23.04 meters and the shot put with a throw of 13.72 meters … Earned All-State honors in both events during final two years, winning the state championships in the discus as a junior before finishing second as a senior … In basketball, earned All-District, All-Conference, All-Region and All-State honors as a senior by averaging 25 points and 12 rebounds per game … All-District, All-Conference, and All-State shortstop for the softball team.
Personal: Daughter of Robert and Tana Buerge … Has one brother, Desmond, who played basketball at Missouri S&T, two sisters, Destiny and DeShaye', and one sister-in-law, Brenlee… Earned Bachelor of Science with Biology with a pre-medical emphasis from Missouri Southern State, a Master of Science in Health Sciences with an emphasis in nutrition from UTRGV, and a minor in psychology form UTRGV.
