Bryan Wynn

Bryan Wynn joined the department as an athletic trainer during the spring of 2020, working primarily with the baseball and volleyball teams.
 
Wynn came to UTRGV from the University of Tulsa, where he had served as an intern since 2018, working with the football and women’s rowing teams. During that time, he was able to travel with the rowing team to Europe for two separate rowing events, including the Henley Women’s Regatta.
 
Prior to Tulsa, Wynn spent 2016-18 as a graduate assistant at UTEP, where he completed a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies while working with the football and men’s golf teams. During Wynn’s tenure, he functioned as medical host for the Hyundai Sun Bowl game twice, assisted with the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, and the men’s golf team won the 2016 Conference USA Championship.
 
Wynn started his athletic training career as the sole athletic trainer with the Duke City Gladiators Indoor Arena Football team in Albuquerque, N.M., in the spring of 2016.
 
Born and raised in Albuquerque, Wynn completed his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training with a minor in psychology at the University of New Mexico in December of 2015.  During his time there, he worked primarily with the football and baseball teams, but also assisted with various other sports as well as local high schools and Gatorade camps.  As a student, Wynn also was traveled with the X-med medical team in 2014 and 2015 that covered Red Bull Events in Utah and Michigan.
 
Wynn has many hobbies but has grown to love mountains and has been snowboarding for over 14 years.  Other hobbies include skateboarding, wakeboarding, and golfing.
