Danny Garcia joined UTRGV Athletics as a graduate assistant in July 2026.

Garcia spent the past two years as a student intern for UTRGV Atheltic Communications. In this role, he assisted UTRGV in their live broadcasts as a color commentator for baseball, men's and women's basketball and soccer. He also helped with stats for the inaugural football season, as well as baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.
