Marian Cortinas-Solis joined UTRGV Athletics on July 15, 2024 as a Student-Athlete Academic Advisor.
Cortinas-Solis will provide academic support for her assigned student athletes and assist with their initial and ongoing eligibility.
Cortinas-Solis spent three years as a student operation and recruiting assistant at Baylor. In this role, she worked closely with the Baylor football operations staff, helped prepare for events and game days, helped with recruiting events, and regularly worked on expense reports.
Prior to that role, Cortinas-Solis worked as a student caller at Baylor where she would contact alumni to help them reconnect with the university and helped drive fundraising efforts for the university.
In May 2022, Cortinas-Solis graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication with a minor in Business Administration from Baylor.
