Rafael Cardenas in the 70th minute to give the Broncs a 2-1 lead, but UMKC's Kangaroos came back with two late goals.
UTPA had won two straight road games, 3-2 at Southwest Missouri State and 5-3 at Oral Roberts University. The Broncs are now 2-5-1.
UMKC held
Mario Ribera, UTPA's leading scorer, to just two shots at goal Monday.
