EDINBURG - Winless yet still playing close games, the University of Texas-Pan American Broncs end their non-conference soccer schedule against Centenary College at 1 p.m. Sunday in Shreveport.
"Hopefully we can get a victory, because we still need one before the conference tournament," said Eloy Moran, UTPA coach.
The Broncs, although 0-10, still could be a threat during the Sun Belt Conference Championship at Little Rock Nov. 4-6. UTPA faces host Arkansas-Little Rock in the tournament opener at 4 p.m. Nov. 4.
"Basically we're fine," Moran said when asked about his injury list, "except for
Ricardo Ochoa, who has hurt the bottom of his foot and isn't running well. We will take just 14 men to Shreveport since it's only a one-game trip."
Centenary owns a 7-8 record and lost by 2-1 at home to Arkansas-Little Rock. Texas-Pan American lost at UALR, 1-0.
