JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Big, fast Alabama A&M took 23 shots on goal to Texas-Pan American's five and handed the Broncs a 4-0 loss in the Texas team's soccer opener here Friday.
The Alabama A&M Bulldogs from Normal, Ala., scored all four goals in the second half, two of them in the closing four minutes.

Marcelo Paredes of UTPA was credited with six saves.
Two Texans,
Shawn Jones and Rey Cisneros, drew yellow cards in a rough contest. Three Alabamans were yellow-carded.
Four men scored for Alabama A&M, one on a penalty shot at 80 minutes. Damon Edwards broke the scoring ice in the 57th minute.
Jacksonville fought Illinois-Chicago to a 1-1 tie in overtime in Friday's other tournament game.
The UTPA Broncs meet Illinois-Chicago at 1:30 p.m. Sunday to end their participation in Nike-Jacksonville University Soccer Tournament. UTPA will stay over to face Jacksonville at 4 p.m. Monday. That game will not be included in the tournament standings.
