SHREVEPORT, La. - Texas-Pan American has lost three soccer players with leg injuries going into a one-game road trip against Centenary College at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Mike Espinosa, Rey Cisneros, and Danny Cortez will be out of the Bronc lineup, reported Dr. Miguel Paredes, UTPA coach.
Centenary's Gentlemen have rolled up a 3-1 record by edging Mercer, 2-1; Oral Roberts, 1-0; and the College of Charleston, 2-0, after a season-opening 3-2 loss at Southern Methodist. UTPA dropped its two games last weekend in Albuquerque to Nevada-Las Vegas, 2-0, and New Mexico, 5-0.
The Broncs are playing a difficult schedule as a major independent. Gabe Serda and
Luis Cardenas made All-Tournament at the UMKC Fall Classic in Kansas City, MO., but the Broncs remain winless after seven straight road games.
