Final Stats

In their second match-up of the season against North Dakota, the Lady Broncs dropped a 3-0 decision to the Fighting Sioux this Thursday (Oct. 8) afternoon at the UTPA Fieldhouse.

"The girls showed some positives tonight with the way they played defense. They showed some fight and that's something we've been working on. As a team, we need to figure out how to be a bit more aggressive and be able to terminate the ball. If we do that, we will be in good shape," said head women's volleyball coach Angela Hubbard.

The Lady Broncs remained competitive in all three sets and even surpassed the 25 match point mark in the second set as they dropped a 26-24 decision. The Lady Broncs dropped the first set with a score of 25-18 and the third by a score of 25-14.

The loss puts the Lady Broncs at 4-13 for the season and 2-4 in conference play, but improves the Fighting Sioux to 11-6 for the season and 3-1 in conference play.

Marci Logan tied for a game-high of eight kills along with three digs, while Rita Gonzalez finished with a team-high 12 assists. Defensively, for the Lady Broncs, Rebecca Toddy finished with 14 digs, while Sarah Davis and Noelle Mayor collected three blocks apiece.
