PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team opens up a three-game road trip on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. against the Prairie View A&M University Panthers at the Prairie View Tennis Courts.
The Series
The Broncs (0-1) are 8-0 all-time against the Panthers (0-2) in a series that dates back to 1986. The Broncs and Panthers last met in 2008, a 6-0 victory for the Broncs.

Last Time Out
The Broncs are coming off of a 7-0 loss at Southern Methodist University.
After dropping his first set in singles 4-6,
Chetan Panditi won his second set 6-4 to force a third set before falling to Pablo Perez-Esnaloa 10-7 in the third set. Harlingen-native
Beau Bernstein played competitively, falling 6-4, 7-5 to Gaston Cuadranti in the #1 spot.
In doubles, Bernstein and Panditi fell to Tobais Flood and Joseph Hattrup 8-7 after losing the tiebreaker 7-3.
Scouting the Panthers
The Panthers are coming off of a 7-0 home loss to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette on January 22. Their #1 player in singles, Ronald Chidzikwe, was able to force a tiebreaker against Carlin Murray, after winning the second set 7-6.
The Panthers opened their season with a 7-0 loss at #39 Rice on January 14.
Local Flavor
The Broncs have a Rio Grande Valley native on the squad. Freshman
Shane Kyral is from Harlingen and attended Harlingen South High School.
The Panthers have a pair of Rio Grande Valley natives on their team as well. Senior Ramon Lozano is from Mission and sophomore David Aldaz is from McAllen.
