PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team continues this three-game road trip on Friday at 10:00 a.m. against the Bethany College Swedes, who are ranked #16 in the NAIA, at the Prairie View Tennis Complex.
The Series
The Broncs (1-1) are 2-0 all-time against the Swedes (1-0), with both victories coming 9-0 in 1990.
Last Time Out
The Broncs are coming off of a 7-0 win at Prairie View A&M University. The Broncs took three of the six singles matches in straight sets, with only one set requiring a tiebreaker. The Broncs breezed through doubles as well, including an 8-0 shutout by
Beau Bernstein and
Chetan Panditi in the #1 spot. Bernstein won his singles match 6-1, 6-1 while Panditi won 6-3, 6-3.
Scouting the Swedes
The Swedes are coming off of a 9-0 win at Dallas Baptist University on Thursday.
The Swedes are led by
Marcelo Alecio, who is ranked #45 in the nation in singles and #10 in doubles along with teammate
Kane Olsen.

The Broncs have a Rio Grande Valley native on the squad. Freshman
Shane Kyral is from Harlingen and attended Harlingen South High School.
