Thibodaux, Louisiana – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team (5-5, 0-1 SLC) plays their sixth match in as many days when they face Southland Conference opponent Nicholls State University Colonels (5-5, 1-0 SLC) on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Colonel Tennis Complex.
The Series

Ricardo Campos defeated
Beau Bernstein and
Chetan Panditi in the #1 position 8-4 and

Davaid Malmgren beat
Ricardo Hopker and
Sebastien Job 8-5 in the #2 position. With the point already decided, the third doubles match, which was tied at 7-7, was left unfinished.
In singles, Bernstein and Hopker won their matches in straight sets for the Broncs. Bernstein beat Campos 6-1, 6-0 in the #1 spot while Hopker defeated Kamineni 6-1, 6-3 in the #2 spot. Meligy beat Panditi 6-4, 7-5 in the #3 spot, but the other three singles matches were left unfinished due to rain.
Scouting the Colonels
The Colonels are on a two-match losing streak, and although they are 3-2 at home this season, they lost their most recent home match, 5-2 to USC-Upstate on March 6. The Colonels were ranked #71 in the nation before this current skid.
The Colonels are led in doubles by the pairing of

The Broncs have a Rio Grande Valley-native on the squad. Freshman
Shane Kyral is from Harlingen and was part of a Harlingen South High School team that was ranked #6 in the state, finishing as the regional runner up in the 5A school division.
