LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team (4-3) continue their stretch of seven matches in seven days as they face off against the University of Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns (8-5) on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
The Series
The Broncs are looking for their first win against the Ragin' Cajuns in a series that dates back to 2001.

The Broncs (4-3) grabbed the early lead after
Beau Bernstein defeated Ernest Santillian, 6-4, 6-2 in the #1 singles spots.
Ricardo Hopker defeated Winfried Weinbeer in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0 in the #2 position.
Chetan Panditi was victorious over Vitali Vasileuski in the #3 position, 6-3, 6-3. Sebastian Job played a strong match defeating Garry Amor Singh, 6-0, 6-2 in the #5 position.
Scouting the Ragin' Cajuns
The #57 Ragin Cajuns are 3-1 at home after coming off of a 6-1 victory over Nicholls State . They are 2-3 on the road and 2-1 on neutral sites.
The Ragin' Cajuns picked up home victories over Central Florida 5-2, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 4-0 and Alcorn State 7-0. Their only home loss came against #9 Kentucky as they fell 2-5.
Damian Farinola is 7-3 in his last 10 matches. Rick DeGroot anchors the Ragin' Cajuns with a 5-3 record in the #1 position. DeGroot and Carlin Murray are 3-3 in doubles but 3-1 as the #1 doubles team.
Local Flavor
The Broncs have a Rio Grande Valley native on the squad. Freshman
Shane Kyral is from Harlingen and was part of a Harlingen South High School team that was ranked #6 in the state, finishing as the regional runner up in the 5A school division.
